This website contains information about the families: Groothedde, Bouckaert, Redeker, Leslie and D’Amour and anyone connected to them. It will primarily contain generic genealogical information on these families. However other family related information is also welcome.
Background
Over the last few years we have been collecting family genealogy information and now have a database with over 15000 individuals. All were entered one at the time. All (except for about 5) are connected through blood or through marriage. Besides names we often have dates of birth, christening, marriage and death. Sometimes we have further detail like stories and images or photos. It has turned into more of a family forest than a family tree. We believe that we have most of the Groothedde’s except for some of the newer generations. We are still adding individuals to this database on virtually a daily basis.
Available
To individual family members we will make available an eBooklet with your own genealogy information. Basically your own family tree with data, diagrams and photos if available. The booklet tends to run 80-100 pages and will be emailed to you in PDF format (other formats are available upon request). Everything is free, just give us some time. Just contact us and provide us with your parents and grandparents names and we can usually find you in the family tree.
Research
If you would like us to do more research and add onto any branch of our tree, we will freely do this, time permitting. It is not limited to the families mentioned above but must somewhere connect to our current tree.
Dutch
We also hope to provide these pages in Dutch. Although born in The Netherlands, my Dutch is simply not good enough anymore to do justice to the translation and we would be looking for someone to volunteer for that.
