Origin
The family Bouckaert originates in Belgium.
Beginning
The first mention of the name Bouckaert, that we are aware of, is of a Pierre Bouckaert who was born in Belgium in 1330 and died in Belgium around 1411. His wife’s name is not known. They had seven children.
The family tree of the Bouckaert lineage in our database starts with Pierre Bouckaert and I can trace myself directly back to him from my grandmother Roelfina Frederika Bouckaert.
Coat of Arms
A very rough google translation would be:
Coat of Arms of the House of Bouckaert: “Argent at the fess entered azure, accompanied by six stars Gules, three in chief and three pointed. Cimier: in flight with antique silver and azure (or a star of Ecu).
Currency: “SOBRIUS JUSTUS PIUS” silver on an azure listel.
If someone is able to provide us with a better translation we would greatly appreciate it. If anyone has a image of the Coat of Arms, we would like to include that.

“Sobrius Justus Pius”
“Sensible Just Saintly”
