Lorna
First of all, I would wish to acknowledge my wife Lorna for putting up with me through this endevour over the years and the countless hours that she has spent doing research and bugging family for information.
Groothedde
Most of the Groothedde information came from the website https://www.gvanbinsbergen.org/Genealogie/Groothedde.html The research for this site was performed by Mw. G. Stam Grootherder from Zutphen, Mw. H. Groothedde from Doorwerth, G van Binsbergen and Dhr. R. Th. Groothedde from Maastricht. Dhr. R. Th. Groothedde known as Ruud was a son of Ivo Groothedde (teacher and writer) and Ivo was a younger brother of my dad. I corresponded with Ruud a number of times but sadly he passed away. Ruud also used to have a website on the University of Maastricht computer with more generic information about the Groothedde’s and some pictures of the old homestead. Unfortunately we were not able to find that information anymore. We believe that we have all the Groothedde information from the website https://www.gvanbinsbergen.org/Genealogie/Groothedde.html and a few more. The information that we are lacking is from some of the newer generations. We like to thank all the Groothedde’s that have contributed to all this information.
Bouckaert
I started the Bouckaert information from a note that was sent to a Ellij Bouckaert that contained a chart going back to a Pierre Bouckaert born in 1330 and described the family Coat of Arms. The sender of this note is unknown. Most of the other Bouckaert family information came from https://www.geni.com/ and http://en.geneanet.org/.
Redeker
Most of the Redeker information came from http://www.pondes.nl/.
Leslie
A lot of the Leslie family information came from a document produced by Monsignor Alexander Patrick Leslie that mentions the following individuals as assisting in the production of that document:
Sr. Catherine Leslie (Tillie)
Mrs. Pat Dutka
Mrs. Helen Roodewalt
Mrs. Marie Kump
Teresa Kane
Mrs. Lillian O’Neill
Matt Leslie and daughter Anna
Mrs. Eunice Leslie
Mrs. Anne Belden
Mrs. Lucy Aitken
The above mentioned document takes us back to William the Wasp Leslie born in 1823 and died in 1907. To go further back we were able to obtain the information from http://www.islandregister.com/leslie1.html
D’Amour
A lot of the D’Amour information came from family members in addition we found a good source in http://www.nosorigines.qc.ca/
Bremner
The Bremner family information came to us via Brett D’Amour who obtained it from a family tree that was produced by Richard R. Bremner we believe. The family Boucher component appears to have been produced by Rev. Denis Dubuc, OMI & Fr. Roland Gaudet. Some of the Bremner tree information came from the Charles D. Denny Collection.
The search engine https://www.google.com was great for finding sources of information.
Grave Stones
We found the following sites usefull for finding grave stones:
http://www.online-begraafplaatsen.nl/ (Dutch)
Seminars
I like to thank www.FamilyTreeWebinars.com for the seminars that they put on and I was able to avail myself of.
Software
The genealogy software that we use to store all of our information is Legacy 8.0 Family Tree.
Appologies
My sincere apologies if I left anyone or any source out. Please let us know (Contact) and we will include them.
