Origin
The family Leslie originates in the area that is now Scotland. Before Scotland was formed there were a number of Clans in the area. The Clan Leslie is one of the oldest Scottish Clans.
Beginning
The first mention of the name Leslie in our lineage is of a George Leslie who was born in 1690 and died in Bridge of Don, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. He was married in Old Machar, Aberdeenshire, Scotland on February 27, 1724 to Jean Strachan who was born in 1690 in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and died in Bridge of Don, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. They had four sons, Alexander, William, George and James.
